Black Angus Pot Roast Steak It Out!

Pot Roast is one of the easiest roasts to cook and yet, mastering of the techniques are beyond many people. The secret is long and slow cooking, a cheap piece of chuck roast . . . and the right cooking pot. Guardian Ware long discontinued, but still available on EBay is a treasure if you can find a roasting pan with a glass top. Salt and pepper the roast. Pour and wipe a little Kitchen Bouquet on the fat. Brown minced onions and the roast and then pile the vegetables until they crown up at the top of the roaster. Salt and pepper to taste. Add a little red wine and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour per pound. Check on the contents hourly. Add beef stock if needed. About one half-hour before serving take the lid off and reduce the liquids. Spoon out the contents and make gravy. Yummy.
